VA Boston Healthcare System Generator Tank
The Jamaica Plain Campus, located in the heart of Boston's Longwood Medical Community, provides services ranging from surgical to social work, for veterans seeking care in the Boston area. CommTank was called on to provide a diesel fuel tank rental for this facility that included welded steel piping from the tank to the emergency generator.
Within 24 hours we had submitted a plan that was approved by the Boston Fire Department and delivered a 10,000-gallon aboveground storage tank (AST) with 110% secondary containment to the hospital. Due to the hospital staffs concerns about the installation interfering with service to patients, they requested the job be done after business hours. Eighty-five feet of steel supply and return lines were piped and welded on a Saturday from the emergency generator to the temporary rental tank, including a fill pipe with a spill bucket. The customer was so pleased with the quick response that they chose CommTank to repair the original issue of the leaking line for their underground tank and resolve the problem permanently.
