Agitator Tank Repair

CommTank’s agitator tank repair service safely and efficiently supports the vessels that mix chemicals and other fluids for a variety of applications in commercial, industrial, and medical facilities.  From single-tank support to large scale integrated mixing systems, CommTank experts can inspect, repair, and replace impeller blades and other agitator tank components.

Confined Space Entry

Confined space entry facilitates interior access to vessels such as above and below-ground storage tanks, grease interceptors, manholes, lift stations, drains, catch basins, etc. to proactively perform scheduled cleaning and repair services or to identify and resolve emergency issues.

Our technicians’ comprehensive expertise as both plumbing experts and as confined space entry specialists enables them to pump tanks as well as enter tanks to assess damage and perform repairs.

CommTank obtains all necessary confined space entry permits and assigns multiple trained technicians to perform the work. Equipment used for confined space entry includes tripod lighting, harnesses, safety lines, lanyards, fall-arrest man winches, gas monitoring equipment, supplied air and masks, and the appropriate level of personal protective equipment (PPE) for the contents of the tank or other confined space.

Drain Pipe Repair and Lining

Also called trenchless pipe repair, our drain pipe repair and lining service is an efficient and cost-effective way to locate and repair damaged pipe. This modern method of pipe repair is faster and less destructive to landscaping than conventional methods, as it avoids digging a “trench” across property.  We simply dig one or two holes to access and clean out the damaged pipe and inject it with a strong, long-lasting pipe liner.

Emergency Drain Cleaning

Call CommTank for 24/7 emergency drain cleaning to efficiently clean a drain line and clear a backup. Drain cleaning emergencies that CommTank resolves include backed up drains; leaking drains; overflowing drains; contaminated drain water; and incidents that require our flood response.  Drain types range from commercial floor drains, area-specific overflow protection drains; trench drains; sanitary drains; floor sinks, catch basins, double-containment drains, sump drains, and more. Our technicians arrive fully-equipped with submersible pumps, hoses, and hand tools to efficiently restore each drain to optimal operating condition.

Grease Trap Cleaning, Replacement and Installation

Grease trap cleaning should be regularly performed to ensure that drain lines do not clog with grease buildup and damage a commercial kitchen’s plumbing or cause a costly shutdown.  CommTank experts pump out and clean grease traps and baffles using our specialized vacuum trucks to remove and transport the waste to an appropriate disposal site. CommTank commercial plumbers also replace and install grease traps for commercial kitchens. Common types of commercial grease traps we clean and install include automatic oil/grease cleaning systems, concrete gravity grease interceptors, and hydro-mechanical grease interceptors.

Pit Pump Out

Industrial and commercial collection pits are designed to contain water, wastewater, chemicals, or other fluids. For example, piping systems that run from labs to aboveground or underground storage tanks have a pH neutralization pit as well as groundwater collection pits. CommTank has the expertise, equipment and experience to efficiently pump out pits and dispose of fluids. We also perform repairs to existing pit-pumps and install new pumps for various types of pits.

Sump Pump Installation, Maintenance and Repair

CommTank repairs, replaces and installs new sump pumps for clients in several industries. Examples include manufacturing facilities with sump pumps below chemical supply lines, or with collection channels for chemical runoff that require sump pumps to push fluids to holding tanks; wastewater treatment plants with below grade sumps; facilities with elevator shaft sump pumps; utility-access manholes, and more.  Common commercial sump pump repairs include float replacement, valve testing or replacement, and impeller cleaning.  Replacement is typically advised for a sump pump that’s more than 10 years old, fails to activate, or cycles erratically or continually.  CommTank-owned specialty equipment includes trash pumps that move high volumes of water (10,000 - 30,000 gph) to keep a sump dry during repair or replacement; and our water pump truck with 4,000-gallon storage capacity for storing pumped fluids.

Valve Replacement and Repair

Regular maintenance of valves that control the flow of water and chemicals is a proactive measure that supports the health and safety of people and processes across all industries. Water supply and wastewater systems, fire protection systems, and chemical transport and storage systems are just a few examples of systems with valves that require regular maintenance. CommTank commercial plumbers maintain, repair and replace valves for clients across a wide range of industries.
